The DJ Cat was used on the cover from May 1957 until Jan 11 1960.
If you look close you will notice that it was playing 78's on the record player.
The current line-up of DJs is pictured on the wall behind.
On the Jan. 18, 1960 chart , the "DJ Cat" was replaced by the "DJ Kangeroo"
and appeared until Aug 20, 1961.
Keeping up with the times, the kangeroo is now playing 45's on the record player.

From Aug 27, 1961 until May 20, 1963, the "Chum Note" was used along with caracitures of the DJs
The Look of the chart changed several times over the
years.

On May 27, 1957, CHUM became the first all
Rock’n’Roll radio station in Canada. That same week the
first 0f 1,512 consecutive weekly charts was published,
they continued releasing these charts until June 6, 1986.

From May 27, 1963 until Aug 3, 1968 a different picture appeared every week,
quite often it was a DJ promoting a contest or special event
From Aug 10, 1968 until Apr. 26, 1975 a different picture appeared every week,
usually a picture of one of the DJs or a celebrity that is appearing in the area.
The last actual chart was released on Apr.26,1975,
after this date the chart appeared in the local Toronto newspapers
